Johnnie Christo formed the Escape Club as their Bassist in 1983 with Trevor Steel, John Holliday and Milan Zekavica. They released their first album White Fields in the UK in 1987. Their next album was released in the summer of 1988 on Atlantic records out of the USA. The title track and first single, Wild Wild West went to #1 on the Billboard hot 100 chart and was Grammy nominated. They released two more singles from the Wild, Wild West album, ‘Shake for the Sheik’ which got to # 28 and ‘Walking Through Walls. They released their third album in March 1991 which included the # 8 single, ‘I’ll Be There’

Johnnie Christo formed one of the first Punk bands in London, The Bazoomis in 1976 aged 18. Their album, White Washed kids is a cult must have for all punk fans from that era. Johnnie is now the only surviving original member.

In 1980 Johnnie formed the Expressos with his band mate from the Bazoomis, Micky Toldi, Singer Roz Rayner and drummer Milan Zekavica.
The Expressos had four UK single releases: Hey Girl, By Tonight, Tango in Mono and Kiss You all Over. Their album was called Promises and Ties, released on Warner Brothers.

Johnnie formed the Escape Club in 1983. He has been a member ever since, currently living in London and gigging around the world with the band.
